This assignment can be a stand-alone activity to help students learn to identify the phases of mitosis by viewing  various animations.  There are several sites to visit, where students perform tasks, such as labeling and making comparisons.

Site 1: Bioman Mitosis Mover

This is a game site where you progress through levels. Students can print a completion at the end of it

Site 2: Cells Alive

This site shows animation of mitosis and the cell cycle

Site 3: Onion Root Tip

Shows cell images in various stages of the cell cycle. Identify and count the cells in each phase.

Site 4: Sketchtoy

A final tasks asks students to draw each phase of mitosis, either on the paper or use an online drawing program, like sketchtoy.com and share their work.
