Frizzle chickens are a breed of domestic chickens known for their distinctive feathering. Frizzle chickens have curly feathers that stand outward instead of lying flat.
The gene for curling feathers is incompletely dominant. Homozygous dominant chickens (FF) have health issues associated with the extreme expression of the trait, now called “frazzled”. Normal feathers are smooth (ff) which is recessive
